ESCAPE FROM MOS SHUUTA
It is a period of unrest and opportunity in the galaxy. The Galactic Empire struggles to maintain control in the midst of civil war. Meanwhile, scoundrels and smugglers, explorers and expatriates, and fringers of all types scramble for a living on the edges of galactic civilization. It is a hard life, but these renegades have more freedom and opportunity than any citizen of the Core Worlds.
On the desert world of TATOOINE, a few such renegades have run afoul of a local crime boss, TEEMO THE HUTT. Trapped in the tiny spaceport of Mos Shuuta, the renegades have no choice but to steal a starship and flee Teemo’s forces. Fortunately, a suitable starship has recently docked at the landing bay; a freighter called the KRAYT FANG, captained by a Trandoshan slaver named Trex. As they flee through the suns-baked streets, the renegades duck into the local cantina to hide from their pursuers…
LONG ARM OF THE HUTT
The jump the KRAYT FANG made to lightspeed has seen you to the edge of the Tatooine system without further problems. However, you must plot a course through hyperspace in order to reach a new destination. Despite the vessel’s dilapidated condition, it seems to hold together and handles well. A whole galaxy is now yours to explore. Free from the grasp of TEEMO THE HUTT, you could kick back and relax a little, getting used to your new surroundings. You haven’t had much time to get to know this ship, and it certainly could do with some alterations before you could comfortably call it home. A rank smell permeates the vessel, and several warning alert icons display on the navigationasl computer’s VDU.
Suddenly, before you can even think of engaging the hyperdrive and leaving the Tatooine system, a loud klaxon begins to wail and the sound of a dozen snorting and growling voices can be heard echoing over the ship’s PA system. The KRAYT FANG begins to shudder and shake, clearly not all is well aboard the stolen freighter…
